Welcome to Bathtub Refinishers. My name is Rick Malatesta. I reside in the Millville, New Jersey area and have been refinishing bathtubs for over 18 years. Bathtub refinishing is a cost-effective way to beautify your bathroom. No messy tub, fixture, or plumbing replacement necessary! 	WHAT WE DO? The process, usually consisting of one full day, is as follows: First, all old caulking is removed. The tub is then completely scraped clean of all soap scum and dirt residue. It is then "etched", or "acid washed" to remove any shine that may remain. The tub is then thoroughly heat-dried. It is now ready to accept it's coating. An epoxy-based primer is applied, followed by 3 coats formulated for refinishing porcelain or fiberglass. Because all coatings are applied by spray gun, the finish is always smooth and shiny. The tub will appear brand new! It can be refinished in any color you wish. .

RE-FINISHING VERSUS NEW TUB PURCHASE

New tubs can be purchased for a cost ranging anywhere from $200.00 to over $500 dollars. However, most of your existing tile, floor plumbing, and fixtures have to be torn out of your bathroom during this process. With replacement and labor costs, your new tub can cost well over $2000.00! A completely refinished tub will typically cost around $400.00, depending on it's condition. This makes refinishing your least expensive alternative!

Remember, all tubs can be refinished! Porcelain or fiberglass. I can also repair any cracks in your fiberglass tub, as well as refinish your existing bathroom tile if needed.
